A series of photos from the 1960s, saved and scanned by Cineclic, reveal part of the Panduri housing estate, just a few years after its completion.
The differences of more than 50 years that result from a simple comparison between these images and the current state of the block are huge. The trees that have grown both in the inner courtyard and those planted outside the complex are the most striking. Some of them are taller than the blocks. Nor can the lack of cars be ignored. The empty courtyard in the 1960s photo shows how airy Bucharest could have been half a century ago.
